Frequently Asked Questions

Where is my data stored?

All shooting records, equipment libraries, projects, photos, and notes are stored locally on your device. The app does not upload any of your content. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How do I back up or move my data?

Open Settings → Data Backup & Analysis → Data Backup and Recovery. You can export everything as a JSON file (with or without photos), save it to Files / iCloud Drive, and import it on another device.

How do I export a record as PDF?

Two ways:

  • From the home screen: tap the tool menu → Generate PDF, select records, choose Index Label PDF or Record Archive PDF, preview, and share.
  • From a record's detail page: tap the more menu → Export Record Archive PDF.

Why does the app ask for camera, location, and photo library access?

  • Camera powers the built-in light meter. The image is never saved or sent.
  • Location (When In Use) lets you record the shooting location into your record.
  • Photo Library lets you attach field photos and film scans to a record.

You can deny any of these and still use the rest of the app.

How accurate is the built-in light meter?

The built-in meter is intended as a quick field reference, typically within ±1 stop of an SLR's averaging meter. For critical metering, we recommend using a dedicated meter (or our standalone app MeterGlass) and entering the result into the record.

What about the Zone System metering?

You can record multiple metering points, choose a base subject, and decide a final EV. The app shows the resulting Zone distribution. The final EV is your metering decision; remember to factor in reciprocity, filter compensation, and bellows extension when setting your actual exposure.

Will the app work on Mac or Apple Vision Pro?

GroundGlass is built for iPhone and iPad. It may run via iPad-on-Mac or iPad apps on Vision Pro, but is not optimized for those platforms.

How do I delete all my data?

Delete the GroundGlass app from your device. Local data is removed at the same time.

常见问题

我的数据存储在哪里？

所有拍摄记录、器材库、项目、照片和笔记都保存在你的设备本地。本应用不会上传任何内容。详见 隐私政策。

如何备份或迁移数据？

进入 设置 → 数据备份和分析 → 数据备份与恢复，你可以将全部数据（含或不含照片）导出为 JSON 文件，保存到「文件」或 iCloud Drive，再在其他设备上导入。

如何把记录导出为 PDF？

两种方式：

  • 在首页：点击工具菜单 → 生成 PDF，选择要导出的记录，再选 索引标签 PDF 或 记录档案 PDF，预览后分享。
  • 在某条记录的详情页：点击右上角菜单 → 导出记录档案 PDF。

为什么需要相机、位置和照片库权限？

  • 相机 用于内置测光表。画面不会被保存或上传。
  • 位置（使用期间） 用于把拍摄地点记入你的记录。
  • 照片库 用于把现场照片和胶片扫描图附加到记录中。

任何一项你都可以拒绝，应用其余功能仍可使用。

内置测光表准吗？

内置测光表定位为现场快速参考，准确度通常在常见单反平均测光的 ±1 档以内。对要求严格的测光场景，建议使用专业测光表（或我们的独立应用 MeterGlass），然后把结果填入记录。

区域系统测光怎么用？

你可以记录多个测光点、选择一个基准对象，并决定最终 EV 值。应用会显示各对象在分区中的分布。最终 EV 是你的测光决策，实际曝光时还需要考虑倒易律、滤镜补偿和皮腔伸出。

在 Mac 或 Apple Vision Pro 上能用吗？

GroundGlass 为 iPhone 和 iPad 而设计。在 iPad-on-Mac 或 Vision Pro 上可能可以运行，但未做专门适配。

如何删除所有数据？

从设备上删除 GroundGlass 应用，本地数据会一并清除。
